Wild Reset II: Monchique, Portugal

Monchique, Portugal / 1 - 5th May 2027

What to Expect

We are back for a second round of Wild Reset - this time set in the beautiful Serra de Monchique.

A spring retreat which invites you to slow down and re-center before the busy and long summer months. An invitation to step out of routine and into nature — a chance to shake off the cold months and spend a few days moving, resting, exploring, and taking time to breathe deeper.

Wild Reset combines dynamic morning yoga, grounding yin and breathwork sessions, hikes, swims in the ocean and nourishing meals — all shared with a small group in a beautiful natural setting.

Imagine yourself here - Mornings with movement on the yoga deck, afternoons might include a hike through the cliffs or time by the sea, and evenings wind down with yin practice and long dinners together.

The Place

Casa de Cura is an off-grid retreat space nestled in the beautiful Serra de Monchique.

You will spend your days breathing in the warm and sweet mountain air, basking in the healing Monchique sunshine, and reading quietly under the olive trees with your bare feet on the earth.

It is designed for rest, connection and slow living. Surrounded by nature, it features a stunning natural pool, open-air spaces and a beautiful yoga shala nestled within an olive groove where you'll practise immersed in nature.

Sustainability

Casa de Cura has been built upon sustainability and simplicity. Sustainability is infused into everything we do - from the water to the energy that charges your phone.

All the water is sourced from the mountain and the river that runs along the border. When you stay at Casa de Cura you not only bathe in but drink the most healing water - Monchique is famous for it. And the magical Monchique sunshine fuels all electricity, meaning it is fully off-grid!

Host & Teacher

Joana was born in Portugal but lived in London for half of her life. She discovered Yoga as a way to navigate stress from her Fashion career and the pace of London life, Joana now teaches with the intention of sharing that same sense of calm, focus, and self-discovery with her students.

With 400+ hours of training across Vinyasa, 4Beat, Rocket, Breathwork, Yin, and Katonah Yoga, her classes are dynamic, creative, and challenging—always offering options to both deepen or soften the practice.

Joana encourages her students to step out of their comfort zones while holding a supportive space where they feel safe to explore and be playful, while also connecting with themselves.

Her classes are guided by the breath and the beat of the music, so they are in sync, allowing to reach a deeper flow and meditation state through movement.

Chef

Raphaëlle is a Chef based in Portugal, currently managing the kitchen of a retreat restaurant while also hosting pop-up dinners and private events both in Portugal and abroad.

With a heritage of a Moroccan-Jewish father, an English-Dutch mother, and upbringing in Spain — you can expect her delicious food to honour her roots, traditions, and stories. She is passionate about connecting with the land and source produce directly from local farmers.

Raphaëlle believes food is about bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, and celebrating life around the table through fresh, seasonal ingredients and local flavours.
